What mobile platforms are supported?
Application is currently available only for Android platform supporting Android version 5.0. and newer.

Is Android 11 supported?
Caroline book has been designed and optimized to run stable and reliably on the newest Android 11.

Does Caroline Book supports Mileage rates?
Yes.

How about reports?
Yes. Mileage rates are automatically added into your reports if this feature is enabled.

How can I enable mileage rates?
Just go to the settings in main menu and click on Enable Mileage rates. After enabling you can always find it in section Trip purposes.

Can I customize currency and values?
Yes. You can customize existing values or add new one. Global currency setting can be changed in main settings.

How does it work?
Each Trip purpose can have assigned mileage rate with date period. During this time period, all your trips (with this trip purpose) will be calculated by selected mileage rate.

I'm a U.S. driver, how can I easily add this year's mileage rates?
No need for that. New values are automatically downloaded to your device. In case of editing or removing, you can simply restore them to default values.

What personal data do you collect?
We strongly respect your privacy. We do not collect unnecessary data and do not provide or sell it to others. On server side, we do not store your data longer than needed for the successful processing of the current task (trip GPS translation, report generation). For more details see our privacy policy.

Where can I find pricing information for my country?
Pricing can be found inside application in the "Subscription" section. Price will be shown in your local currency. Several subscription plans are available.

My autostarts (bluetooth, charger, ...) don't work or the app is killed when recording long trips with screen switched off.
If you are using a Huawei/Xiaomi or similar phone, this might be a known issue. Some of these phones implement undocumented optimizations that prevents apps from legitim starting or running in background. To possibly turn off this behaviour, please follow the steps below:

EMUI 6+ devices (and some EMUI 5 devices)

• Phone settings > Advanced Settings > Battery manager > Power plan is set to Performance
• Phone settings > Advanced Settings > Battery Manager > Protected apps – check for your app as Protected
• Phone settings > Apps > Your app > Battery > Power-intensive prompt [x] and Keep running after screen off [x]
• Phone settings > Apps > Advanced (At the bottom) > Ignore optimisations > Press Allowed > All apps > Find your app on the list and set to Allow

HUAWEI P9 PLUS

• Phone settings > Apps > Settings > Special access > Ignore battery optimisation > select allow for your app.

HUAWEI P10/P20

• Phone settings > Battery > App launch and then set your app to “Manage manually” and make sure everything is turned on
